Something is wrong, isn't it, when the new Paul W. Bryant High School in Tuscaloosa, Ala., chooses blue and gold as its colors and "Huskies" for a nickname?
What are those people thinking? Some parents are outraged, and they've got the right idea. They reportedly are trying to get the school to change the nickname to The Stampede - as in stampede of Crimson Tide elephants - and the colors to red and white. School officials said that isn't possible because the University of Alabama uses those and doing so could violate trademark laws.
As Roseanne Rosannadanna used to say..."It's allllways something."
Our alternative nickname suggestion for Paul Bryant High is a natural: Da Bears.
